Readvertisement-NBP is recruiting Neighbourhood Renewal Coordinators

North Belfast Partnership brings people and government together to make north Belfast a vibrant place for people to live and work in.

North Belfast Partnership is supported by the Department for Social Development to deliver Government’s Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy – “People and Place”.  Neighbourhood Renewal is a cross-cutting government strategy which aims to reduce the social and economic inequalities which characterize disadvantaged areas.

The Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy is delivered locally through 6 Neighbourhood Renewal Partnerships across north Belfast and the greater Shankill Area.

The Partnership wishes to recruit 4 Neighbourhood Renewal Coordinators to work with the Neighbourhood Renewal Partnerships in the following areas.

3 full time posts in the following Neighbourhood areas -  Inner North Belfast, Crumlin/Ardoyne and Upper Ardoyne/Ballysillan

1 part time posts (20 hours) in the following area - Greater Shankill.

NJC Salary Scale Point 26 i.e. £22,443 per annum (pro rata)

Essential criteria – Third level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. community development) or

-       at least three years’ experience of working in a community development or urban regeneration setting in either a social, education, economic, or  health                   setting.

-       experience of working with local government, funding bodies or community groups to deliver projects.

-       experience of generic development support work, with specific reference to committee secretariat work, inter-sectoral and inter-agency liaison, research and         funding proposals.

-       All applicants should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software.
