FREE Introduction to Care Work Course


North Belfast Partnership’s LEAP Project is running a FREE training course to help unemployed people who are seeking a career in the Health & Social Care Sector.

The 3 days of training will include:

• Introduction to Health & Safety Law
• Control of substances hazardous to health
• Safety in the prevention of fire
• Moving and handling people and objects safely
• Moving and handling practical
• Control of infection
• Principles of Care and Clinical skills
• Protection of vulnerable adult and child
• Challenging behaviour
• Basic First Aid

If you are interested and can answer yes to the questions below, then you may be suitable for the programme:

• Currently unemployed
• Have some experience of caring for a family member or some healthcare experience in settings such as day-care centres, nursing homes, domiciliary work, etc
• Actively seeking employment and can commit to 3 full days of training Wednesday 10th to Friday 12th December 2014
