Developing Services for Older People in Northern Ireland Event

Charity Bank is organising a forthcoming event on resourcing voluntary organisations and social enterprises that are providing or developing services for older people in Northern Ireland.

Stay ahead of the ever-changing funding landscape. Finance or funding for voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises (‘VCSEs’) is a continuing challenge in 2014 and is likely to remain so in the foreseeable future. To address this, it is vitally important for VCSEs to keep abreast of these changes and consider other funding options which may be available to resource future development.

The speakers will provide you with a concise and practical update of the funding environment to include:

·         How the funding landscape is changing across the UK and Europe;

·         Demystifying enterprise and investment;

·         What are some of the options available.

In order for the social economy to prosper, it will also be necessary for funders and policy makers to listen and respond to the needs of the voluntary sector. The Charity Bank project team is currently undertaking a research into organisational needs in Northern Ireland which is funded by Building Change Trust (BCT).

Through roundtable discussions, we will be seeking your views, challenges and updates to feed into this important piece of work for the future of investment readiness support and new funding product development in Northern Ireland.
